Yearly Christmas illustration - 2019
A devilish Nisse (danish for a type of Christmas elf/house spirit).
I drew him in two versions - a nicer nisse, and a more devious one... He is challenging the very idolised image of the cosy and loving elf, Christianity morphed from heathen belief systems in western culture. Don't forget to leave some rice pudding out for your house nisse (with butter and cinnamon sugar)... Or he will cause a ruckus...
